Amazon Shopping List

May - 16 - 2006

I got this email from Amazon just minutes ago:

Your Shopping List is a new feature we’ve added to make it easier to locate and keep track of items you are considering as well as items you purchase routinely–products such as shampoo, vitamins, skin care, and tea. Because you’ve bought these types of products in the past, we thought you’d want to be among the first to know about this useful new way to shop.

Interesting idea – and they are right I have bought bath products and teas online, but I don’t think I’d use this feature, just because I only buy these items online when I’m in a crunch or when I’m buying something else and I want enough to get free shipping :)

If you’re curious though, here are the instructions:

How Do You Use Your Shopping List?

We’ve already started a list for you based on your past purchases. You can find it by clicking the “View Your Shopping List Now” button above, or go to Your Account and look under Shopping Lists & Gift Registries. Your Shopping List is simple to use:

  • To add items, click the “Add to Shopping List” button on any eligible product detail page, including those in Health & Personal Care, Beauty, and Gourmet Food.
  • To buy any or all of the items on your list, select the products you want, choose your quantity, and click the “Add to Cart” button.
  • To remove items from your list, click the “Delete” button next to each product listed.
