Free Audio Books

How did I miss this? I was just reading on Wired about LibriVox. What a cool idea!

LibriVox volunteers record chapters of books in the public domain, and then we release the audio files back onto the net (podcast and catalog). Our objective is to make all books in the public domain available, for free, in audio format on the internet.

There’s not much there yet, but if you’re good at reading out loud you should totally volunteer! I’m fine a speaking when there is no script – but when I try to read outloud I do a terrible job :)
