Sounds cool!  I, like you, did a lot of custom work on internal blogs/content management.  Yes there is a lot of free stuff out there, but it doesn't always meet the needs your organization has.  I had a system in place where our users had to have an account to register for events.  Leveraging that, I have integrated that logon across the whole site and now it gives them access to resources that not everyone needs, and my internal staff are able to use their personal logon to post content, post to our internal blog, etc.

I'm about to tie this all into a wiki site as well.

Now if you only programmed in ASP.NET, we could share ;)
