WordPress Comments
Remember when I said I was getting all kinds of spam? Well I’m starting to think it wasn’t spam. I noticed on a couple other blogs that use WordPress that they have these comments that start with [...] and end with the same – I thought these were spam – but I think they’re comments to tell me that someone else is linking to my blog.
Are there any experts out there that can confirm my assumption?

Trackbacks from other blogs will show up in your comments. The “from” part of the comment will likely have the name of a blog and a link to it. However, there is such a thing as trackback spam too. Usually it’s easy to tell. If it comes from “Library ____” or “The ____ Librarian” or some sort of information/web/library-related blog, it’s probably legit.

I wouldn’t worry about it. Most blog software sends those trackbacks automatically, so I doubt anyone will be terribly offended that you deleted them.
