New Delicious!

I have been visiting once a day to see if I was asked to log in (since that was the sign I was told to watch for) and tonight I was!!! Here’s the new Delicious (note that the dots are gone) homepage:

And a shot of my tags page:

I like the new look and I like how you can find your results in the tags. I don’t like the the search has sponsored results on the right - I’d rather my tags stay there since that’s where I look for them. I’ll have to poke around more before I can give a full review.

I haven’t decided if I like the new look or not. But then again I only really use it for one of the departments I’m liaison too. For my person bookmark storage right now I’m actually using Yahoo bookmarks. I kinda of like having the folders and tags, but…I think it will just take me a bit to get used to the new layout.

I, for one, like the functionality of the new interface for the most part, but also for the most part could do without the color scheme. In terms of functionality, the tag selection and deselection interface is nice, the short/medium/all entry listing format is welcome, and the expansion of the notes field is essential. The tag deletion interface is a painful series of clicks, however. The color scheme is very drab, though, and I wish there was a way to change it. (Actually, I now remember that I had a Greasemonkey script that change the old color scheme to a brighter yellow and green. Perhaps the author of that script with modify it to the new interface…)

… i don’t know… what is the fun about applying a new look-and-feel (including a bunch of fancy icons) without releasing new functionalities? My first impression: The new interface is too busy for such a simple person like me, but at least I managed to recover all features required.
