I have to admit I’m not an IM person. I used to be - but lately IM bugs me. Maybe it’s not IM - maybe it’s just the people who bug me on IM 
I do however think that IM in libraries is a must! If I could have a work account that no one else knew about (except people here) I’d love to use that to communicate with people here. That way I wouldn’t have to sit on the phone with someone saying “I’m emailing you the link … got it? Okay now click here … you don’t see that? Well I’m emailing you another link” - you get the idea.
No matter how you feel about IM, Michael Stevens has an IM survey up so head on over there and help him out (it’s a quickie).
