Batch File Renaming

Over at Lifehacker they have a tip on how to batch rename files in Windows. I have always (well for a long time) used a little freebie tool called Rname-It. It lets you find and replace characters in a batch of filenames or lets you simply rename a batch of files. It’s great if you want to remove spaces from windows files before you upload them to your webserver. Give it a whirl, it has more options than I can list!

Thanks, this is so useful. The built-in short cut is nice but the space and parentheses are less than ideal. Rename-It is great - I can finally whip my users’ files into shape quickly for those Mac client FTP problems!
