Wanna Chat?

I worked from home on Monday and had IM open so I could talk to my teammate (who was in the office). I used to be an IM junky when I was in college - but that died down pretty quick once I got a “real” job :)

Anyway, while I was on IM I got a chance to talk to Meredith who I haven’t talked to since March! So I thought I should try to keep my IM open whenever possible. If you want to chat my Yahoo and AIM IDs are the same “nengard”. I’m using Trillian so you can log in to whichever one you like. Hope to talk to you soon!

Gee, you’re right… it had been since March. Way too long, though I guess we all get so hung up with our day-to-day stuff that it can be hard to IM sometimes. I guess it doesn’t feel so long because I read you almost every day. :) Blogging almost feels like a conversation, doesn’t it?

It does - which is why I didn’t realize how long it had been until I typed out that post - I’ve had IM open all this morning though - so I’m off to a good start.

The reason I’m leaving IM open is to meet new people - I’d love hear from readers and librarians from all over.

I got on IM this morning to talk to you. It took me so long to set it up as I hadn’t ever been on it on this computer, that you were gone. The good part is my Sister In Law was on and we got to talk for a few minutes. I would like to im you at some point about Koha. We should be transfering data in two weeks. This is new news since my last comment to your blog. Is your KOHA program already up and going?

We’re not using Koha - I’m just a fan from afar. I’ve been on IM all day today - and plan on staying on until I leave work at 3:00pm my time.

I also give my IM account to my students & put it on my business card (tho’ not officially). Students seem to put me in their buddy lists & contact me when they need me. That would probably be more if I were online between midnight & 2 am …
btw: I’m CogSciLibrarian at AIM. :-)
