I read that with this extension you can use Firefox 1.5 extensions on Firefox 2.0.

It is a bit disappointing to upgrade to Firefox 2 just for Zotero. I also worried about my extensions, but maybe this helps: the Nightly Tester Tools extension makes Firefox believe all your old extensions (now called add ons) work with the latest Firefox version.

(Quite often, these extensions will then actually work. The only reason they don't work without any tricks, is because they contain a "compatible with Firefox version 1.x and lower" check. This extension tells the other extensions to pretend like they are made for version 2)

You can run a local copy of Firefox 2.0. If you're using windows, Firefox Portable would work well.
