Digital Life Aggregators

In her Cool Tools presentation at IL2006 Darlene Fichter mentioned Digital Life Aggregators - I haven’t been able to find any of these (mind you I’m not searching very hard) but today I read on TipMonkies about Profilactic.com.

Profilactic can keep track of any social site which provides RSS feeds or unique web addresses to its users including popular ones like YouTube, Flickr, Digg, and more. The site will also allow users to post content from their Profilactic account to their blogs or MySpace accounts. The site is still in beta, but should be launching soon so enter your e-mail address to stay up to date on the launch.

I signed up and will keep you posted.

    Hi Nicole

These tools are most often referred to as Digital Lifestyle Aggregators and the fundamental idea is integrating all content about/by one person across various facets of their life: personal communication/information management, friends, family, social networks, etc.

This Profilactic sounds exactly like spokeo.com that came out a month ago.
