New Borders.com?

In a bit of books business news, Borders is dropping Amazon.com in favor of their own e-commerce site. I’m not sure how I feel about this – I don’t usually shop on Borders.com because Amazon has better deals (and I’m an associate) – but I am curious to see what Borders comes up with to top its online competition.

The shocker for me – I hadn’t realized that it had been 7 years that Borders.com & Amazon.com were tied together! For some reason I thought it had been less time.

Hm, but what will this mean for Amazon?

Amazon will still exist, but they will be losing a significant chunk of money from their Borders.com sales.
