Sorry I couldn’t resist.
I’m sure you remember the Nature/Britannica debate back in December of 2005 and March of this year. If you don’t you can read about it here and here.
Well yesterday Tom at Tombrarian posted a link to the response from Nature to Britannica’s claims that their article was not written [...]

I haven’t finished reading yet - but I can tell this is going to be a good article. Take a look at The Hive published in The Atlantic Monthly. It’s an article about Wikipedia and its history.

WOW! Connie Crosby did a great job with this week’s carnival. I know I haven’t been posting about the carnival lately, but I do keep up with it and if you don’t you should at least check out Connie’s colorful post.

That’s right I can admit I don’t know everything there is to know about HTML.
That doesn’t stop me from being a little ashamed to admit that I just read about 5 HTML elements I hadn’t used (or heard of) before on the SEOmoz Blog.
My favorites? <acronym> & <optgroup> - I have to go find [...]

That’s right - it went backwards - from Blogger to Blogger Beta. Okay, enough silliness - Google released a new version of Blogger yesterday (hence the beta). I was going to go play with my puppy blog to see how the new features work out - but it turns out you can’t use [...]

Wired News has an article about Wiki.com.
Launched over the weekend, Wiki.com joins the already populous field of do-it-yourself wiki sites, which allow anyone to add and edit content on a specified topic.
In its first day live, visitors have been snapping up subdomains with topical words, like soccer.wiki.com, or common first names.
Currently, anyone can register a [...]

Well, what isn’t?? An online friend of mine sent me a link last week that talked about how subscribing to RSS feeds could be a security risk - today I found a similar article on News.com.
Attackers could exploit the problem by setting up a malicious blog and enticing a user to subscribe to the [...]

As you know I have finally signed up for FeedBurner - but why the change? Well I was getting a little annoyed with depending on Bloglines to tell me how many subscribers I have. Bloglines was telling me that I had something like 28 subscribers - After 2 days FeedBurner says I have 79 [...]

Okay I give - how the heck do you get a little icon to appear next to your feed in a reader like Bloglines? I looked at a bunch of people’s RSS feeds today and could not see anything there that I didn’t have in my feed. I have a favicon set up for [...]

I just read on LibrarianInBlack about a list of Extentions specifically for Web programmers. I have some of them, but I did find some new tools. The one I was most excited about was Screen Grab, but its not compatible with the newest version of Firefox, so I’ll have to wait.

I just read about Stu.dicio.us on Solution Watch.
Claimed to be a social notetaking service, Stu.dicio.us allows students to publicly save organized notes, manage a class schedule, and keep up to date with tasks using a time sensitive to do list.
It sounded interesting so I went to take a look - the problem is [...]

Hopefully [...]

I know that there are other similar services out there - but this is the only one I’ve played with. GiftHat lets you create and share a wishlist - the best thing is that you can import your Amazon wishlist right into their database. There are a few features I’d like to see.
They [...]
