My husband and I have been “discussing” when the right time to put up the Christmas tree is. Decorating my house is my favorite part of Christmas – he feels we should at least wait until December. Well it’s December!!
In honor of my holiday cheer, I want to share a handy holiday movies guide with you. The Christmas Movies Schedule lists the dates, times and channels where you can find your favorite Christmas movies. (note that the schedule started in October – I was just asking to put the tree up after Thanksgiving 
)
Internet Library for Librarians
Judith points us to a very handy portal just for librarians. The Internet Library for Librarians provides a:
list of library-related electronic lists and newsgroups devoted to cataloging. There is a list of products for privacy protection and online security. The Librarian's Toolbox links to things like Label Maker, ShelveIt!, Link Checker, Internet Library for Librarians, QuickBib!, and a couple of library-specific spell checkers.

RSS feeds make it possible to consume far more information at a faster pace than would otherwise be possible for the human brain. That said, many people experience a new level of information overload once they begin reading feeds. Here’s an overview of how I read thousands of RSS feeds without breaking a sweat.
Give it a read if you’re interested in how the Marshall kept up in order to write for TechCrunch. I can’t imagine having thousands of feeds in my reader!
Librarians = Scary?

There's an ENTIRE SUBCULTURE OF LIBRARIANS WHO BLOG out there. A sad, bizarre subculture. “Canuck Librarianâ€Â. “New Jack Librarianâ€Â. “Catalogablogâ€Â. “Diary of a Subversive Librarianâ€Â, even. LIBRARIANS. Who BLOG. What in the HELL could they have to BLOG about??
As you all know – we can be a very vocal bunch – which I guess led to this retraction.
The days of the old lady with the tight bun who “shhhhhhâ€Â-es you all the time are GONE, man. These people are COOL. These people KNOW tons of stuff, man. And if you are REALLY nice to them, maybe they'll explain GovDocs to you.
