Thanks Sarah for pointing this out to me!!
There’s a tool called RSStalker that lets you track price changes on Amazon by RSS. You can have feeds for your entire wishlist or a specific item.
Also, from the RSStalker site:
Amazon.com doesn’t advertise it, but they have a 30 day price drop policy. If you bought [...]

I found this video via The Shifted Librarian. It’s an illustration of what users at PSU have to go through in order to find a copy of Time Magazine.

Yikes! Why do we put our users through this???

I just read this funny dialog between a board officer and a web developer.
US/Canada Border Officer: "Are you coming for business or pleasure sir?"
Me: "Business"
Officer: "What is the nature of your stay?"
Me: "I'm a web developer and I'm meeting with a client in Oregon to discuss a project."
Border Officer: "What's the name of the client?"
Me: [...]

I’m not sure how to summarize what I just read on lis.dom - but what I do know is that it touched me! Laura writes about the biblioblogsphere as a group - or non-group is it may be.
Though we're [the biblioblogosphere] often in agreement (let's hear it one more time-just how badly [...]

New Borders.com?

Posted by Nicole on March 25th, 2007 under Books, Shopping
 •  3 Comments

In a bit of books business news, Borders is dropping Amazon.com in favor of their own e-commerce site. I’m not sure how I feel about this - I don’t usually shop on Borders.com because Amazon has better deals (and I’m an associate) - but I am curious to see what Borders comes up with [...]

My favorite tips are #2 & 3:

Books should be cheaper

I just finished hunting for the best price options for my textbooks for next term and I still spent way too much money! Books for education should be cheaper - it just doesn’t seem fair that they make the poor students pay the most for books.
Anyway, I’m all set for next term which starts on [...]
